GPUA project: Ariana
2016年に、Global PUA projectを掲げた。
2017年に、いよいよ始動する。
Global PUA projectの最初のプロジェクトは、英語の習得だ。
Project name は "Ariana"。
理由？
Aliana Grandeがhotだからだ(笑)
Alianaを魅了できたら、女の悩みなど30年ぐらいは抱かなくて済むのではないだろうか。
Those who are assigned in this project hve to work hard and play hard everyday, trying to do thier best all the time by clearly imagine the secne of attracting women in the Ariana Grand class instad of being soacked in thier confort zone.
Ariana Grandeクラスを魅了する男を目指して日々精進することが、我々に課されたミッションなのだ。
もともとは、R&B系の曲が多かったけれども、EDMの大御所Zeddとコラボしたあたりから、ビートが早めの曲を出している印象。
以下は、イントロを聞いたらフレーズが口ずさむか、音に乗れないとグローバルPUAとしては恥ずかしい。
さて、本題に戻る。
今年は、恋愛工学英語部員として、結果を出すことにコミットしてく。
グローバリゼーションに日本人だけ遅れるとか、あり得ない。
「恋愛工学」の藤沢所長も海外大学院に留学して物理学の博士号を取っているわけで、その時点で日本の0.1%に入るエリートだし、グローバルで通用する肩書きを手に入れているわけだ。
つまり、対等にcommunicationが取れて、初めて「恋愛工学」のフレームワークや理論が生きてくる。これは日本でも同じ。ここのファンダメンタルな部分を無視して、理論がワークしなかった点を反省しても、それは確率論で勝負することになる。
結局は、グローバルPUAになるには英語力の抜本的な向上が不可欠。日々の生活を通じて、「自分の魅力となるコンテンツ」はできても、発信できなければグローバルには相手にされない。
語学力と自信は、communication上明確な相関関係がある気がしていて、「英語ができなくても勢いでいくぜ☆」「言っていることはまあまあわかるけど、なんて表現していいかわからないから同意しておこう。。。」といったレベルから脱却して、「何とか会話を繋ぎ、同意や共感を呼ぶ」レベルにまで到達したい。
さて、まずは私自信昨年受けたスピーキングテストの結果を見てみる。
- Fluency
- Frequent pauses ( not smooth: tends to be phrase-by-phrase)
- Self-correction impends general fluency
- Vocabulary
- Vocabulary development is necessary to develop overall proficiency
- Inaccurate/inappropriciate word choices/collections are noticeable
- Tends to pause when not knoing the exact word
- Grammer
- Question formation is sometimes inaccurate
- May have sufficient knowledge, but inaccuracies occur when speaking
- Procunciation
- First language accent may affect communication with a global guidance
って感じだ。これは個別面談の時に指摘を受けた。
さて、これを改善するには以下が推奨されている。
- Practiece speaking in English in fast-paced, high-intensity group situations
- Chat with co-workers and friends in English as often as possible
- Continue review/recycle vocabulary systematically and use strategies to retain what you have learned once. Check your vocabulary power by useing online test periodically.
- Read English magazines, internet articles,etc. of your interest regularly. When you have time, read first time for meaning, and second time for vocabulary/collocation studies
- Practice using more advanced (complex) sentence structures
- Review high-intermediate/advanced grammer comprehensively using a textbook
- Study basic rules of reduction, inonation, pitch and stress
- Seek help to reduce your first language accent so your speech can be easily understood by a global audience
- Get support from your colleagues or your mentor to notify you when your speech is not understood
ふう、、、めっちゃいろいろ指摘されている(笑)
要は、「複雑な文法構造を駆使できるよう、反復練習すること」「適切な語彙選択やフレーズ選択がスピーキングの流暢さに繋がるゆえ、暗記すること」の二点かな、と。
万人に受ける英語学習法はなく、効果がありそうなものを自分で取捨選択していくしかないのは、ほぼ自明かと。
それゆえ、 具体的なHowは試行錯誤しながら、情報をupdateできればと思う。
